We also arrange and manage insurance for clients who have sold their home and their caravan/motor home is their traveling home, with no fixed address.

This Specialist Policy has been designed to protect the caravan owner against many of the  unexpected and additional costs they may incur when their caravan is damaged, particularly whilst on tour.

OUTLINE OF POLICY COVER

The majority of "caravan policies" available are simply standard policies issued by general insurers who also underwrite other domestic covers and compete against each other. Being standard in cover they generally do not take into account the various unforeseen costs which can arise when a caravan, motorhome etc is damaged, particularly whilst on tour.

These additional costs/benefits which are covered by the Specialist policy we provide, include:

• The cost of towing the caravan to the most appropriate repairer, not necessarily the nearest.
• Most alternative insurers are to the nearest repairer only.
• Alternative Temporary accommodation costs  incurred whilst the caravan is undergoing repair following an accident, with specific limit where caravan is not your usual home and a higher limit applies where the caravan is your usual home.   
• The cost of returning the caravan to your residence if whilst on tour you become ill or suffer a personal injury rendering you incapable (medically certified) to continue driving.
• Where your towing vehicle is involved in an accident and cannot be used to continue touring, the policy pays the cost of returning the caravan to your residence, even when the caravan is not attached to the vehicle at the time of the accident, i.e. in a caravan park. Where your Motorhome cannot be driven following an accident or loss, the policy pays the reasonable cost of assisting you and your passengers travelling with you to return to their home.
  

TRAVELING AUSTRALIA WIDE - NO FIXED ADDRESS - NO PROBLEM

Where you are planning an extensive tour of Australia, possibly having sold your residence, with the caravan being your home. you need to give special consideration to the value of all your personal belongings and contents which are in your caravan.  $1000 cover is totally inadequate where you may have $15-$20,000 value on board.

In selling your home, you no longer have cover for personal liability indemnity where you cause personal injury or damage to property of others anywhere in Australia. This is normally included in a house/contents insurance policy. The Caravan/Motorhome policy we provide includes personal liability and indemnity where you are temporarily or permanently residing in your caravan/motorhome and you do not have Personal Legal Liability cover by an existing home or contents insurance policy in your name.

Often couples/partners traveling together do not own a home, they are seriously exposed to the potential and costly liability claims which can occur anywhere whilst on tour. This Personal Liability Indemnity is included in the policy we provide. The majority of alternative caravan and motorhome insurance policies do not include this important liability cover.

ON SITE CARAVANS

We arrange cover for owners of On Site Caravans including Fixed Structural Improvements consisting of Fixed Hardwalled Annexe, Tropical Roof, Car Port where they are attached to the On Site Caravan. The policy includes the Contents and Personal Effects, Electrical Damage to electric motors of electrical appliances, Third Party Liability Indemnity as owner/occupier of the Caravan including Personal Liability Indemnity anywhere in Australia, where the insured is not covered by another existing home or contents insurance policy in their name.

It is a concern, that so many owners of On Site Caravans do not have On Site Caravan Insurance and are exposed to the potential and costly liability claims that can occur from a fire or an accident causing bodily injury to others or loss of or damage to property of others. 

The risks associated with owning an On Site Caravan is the same as owning your home, however you need the right policy, which we provide.

OTHER SERVICES

Claims Handling and Management -  Where you need to make a claim, you contact us and we assist with & attend to the claim submission to the insurer through to final settlement on your behalf, to ensure that you receive your full entitlement.
