SAFE CARAVAN TOWING TIPS:

• Tyres - properly inflated & the same size. Condition? Fit new if in doubt
• Load mass - does the suspension look right, is the load properly distributed and balanced, is it below the weight limit? Avoid overloading the boot/rear of towing vehicle/caravan.
• Caravan/Trailer Coupling- the trailer coupling -safety chains securely fastened. Check jack legs/jockey wheel/water tank.
• Gas Cylinders- check levels, properly secured and turned off.
• Rollout Awning, windows, doors, hatches all properly closed and secured.
• Check wheel bearings, lights & globes, hoses and connections before commencing each tour and at regular intervals on tour.
• Towing vehicle & caravan registration - current?
• First Aid Kit - the right supplies/medications not out of date?
